In recent times, the maritime sector - like all spheres of society - has undergone changes, so we see everything from a woman driving a bus to a woman inserted in a process of maritime dynamics. This is the case of the colleagues of the Cuban Ship Registry, who carry out tasks associated with the proper functioning of the machinery that has to do with the navigation process.
The OSDE GEMAR, in general, today has 3,026 women in its workforce inserted in different jobs, including some of those carried out by men, and their incorporation into the sector is increasingly being promoted.
Although social dynamics and the socio-cultural construct itself place women in more noble spaces, we can affirm that maritime life and Cuban government institutions open the doors for them to fill daily events with their delicacy and tenderness.
