CORAL has the mission of being a team of professionals specialized in carrying out the processes and objectives that consolidate compliance with the established policy regarding economic associations and commercial companies in Cuba and abroad in which the entity is a partner.
CORAL has the vision of constituting a mercantile company with totally Cuban capital, perfected and of reference for the maritime port sector, in compliance with the annual planning and the corporate objects of the associated companies.
• Assessment of ideas and projects linked to foreign investment in the GEMAR business system and presentation of the corresponding technical criteria.
• Review and analysis of documentation that is made available for this purpose, as well as preparation and issuance of considerations in this regard, which may be in writing or verbally as requested by GEMAR.
• Substantiate and prepare proposals and writings to be signed by GEMAR.
• Participation in meetings where the presence of Coral is required, with the aim of giving the corresponding follow-up to the issues discussed.
• Propose the GEMAR Opportunities Portfolio and its business system.
• Organize, coordinate and carry out the meetings of the GEMAR Business Group.
• Prepare the necessary files for the evaluation and approval, by whoever corresponds, of the business projects in process.
• Hire pre-feasibility studies for investment projects that require it; coordinating and centralizing all the information to be taxed.
• Hire the necessary appraisals for the development of investment projects.
• Any other activity or task related to foreign investment that GEMAR requires entrusting to Coral.
• Promote, advise, participate in the drafting and follow up on the status of cooperation agreements with entities related to GEMAR from other countries and international agreements that are approved by it.
• Control the agreements and documentation required in the Intergovernmental Commissions where the OSDE GEMAR has interests and partition.
• Propose, execute, contract and evaluate feasibility studies to enhance the services provided by the companies of the Group.
• Attend, develop and control on behalf of GEMAR everything related to the PROGRAM FOR THE INTEGRAL DEVELOPMENT OF PORT MARITIME TRANSPORTATION.
• Attend and control on behalf of GEMAR, exports of goods and services.
• Promote the development of productions and services that substitute imports.
• Guarantee jointly with the Companies the implementation of businesses with foreign investment and with other national companies that substitute imports.
• Promote the alliance of the companies of the GEMAR Group in the execution of certain projects or services to achieve higher income, market opening and participation with more competitive offers.
• Design and propose the Business Intelligence System to be implemented in the OSDE GEMAR.
• Function as GEMAR's liaison before the Chamber of Commerce, processing what is required and guaranteeing the flow of communications derived from that entity.
