Social object:

• Execute scientific research and technological innovation projects and technical advisory and consultancy services in the production of goods and services, in relation to cargo and passenger transport and national and international port activity, in the field of logistics, security , infrastructure and insurance.

• Execute scientific research and technological innovation projects and advisory and consulting services in the production of goods and services in relation to applied psychology, business management, cybernetics, mechanical technologies and environmental protection.

• Execute scientific-technical research projects in environmental management activities in bays, ports and coastal areas, in Cuban pesos. To mixed companies, representations or foreign entities and to the parties to the International Economic Association Agreement in convertible pesos, these being the following:

Apply science and technological innovation to achieve sustainable scientific and technological development of the transport system, and respond to environmental problems.

Vision:

To be a scientific organization of excellence, leader in the contribution to the sustainable development of the transport system and the preservation of the environment at a national and international level, with high standards of technical and technological infrastructure, personnel of recognized prestige, highly committed and motivated.

Services offered:

• Coastal Planning Division: Focuses on the physical characterization of the coastal environment and covers studies of water and sediment dynamics, coastal planning proposals, studies for environmental impact assessment.

• Industrial Ecology Division: Dedicated basically to environmental pollution and environmental management, the management of land-based sources and activities of pollution that affect coastal ecosystems, as well as environmental management studies in the business sector.

• Pollution Division: Mainly associated with the evaluation of the levels of organic and inorganic contamination of water, sediments and marine biota.

• Division of Logistics and Maritime Transportation: Specialized in investigations related to maritime transportation of passenger cargo, ports, shipyards, logistics, warehouses, multimodal transportation, and supply chains.

• Passenger and Geomatics Division: Conducts research mainly related to passenger transportation, highways, traffic, security, roads, and the application of Geomatics activity in transportation studies.

• Technology Division: Oriented to the technical and environmental evaluation of technologies applied to transportation.

• Business Management Division: Contributes to promoting change processes and organizational development through the use of modern intervention techniques in areas of action such as: business management, economic and commercial management, human resources management, economic and commercial management.

• East Transportation Engineering Division: Carries out investigative studies related to transportation in the eastern part of Cuba.
