CMA CGM restructures feeder service that connects Cuba with the port of Kingston, Jamaica.

CMA CGM is restructuring its coverage of Cuba from its Kingston hub in Jamaica, by combining two separate services on one itinerary that will use greater capacity, Alphaliner reports.

In detail, the Kingston-Cuba feeder service, 'Caribbean Feeder' of the French shipping line, which connected the ports of Kingston and Mariel, through the 1,118 TEU “Contship Bee”, will close this week. Cargo volumes will be consolidated on CMA CGM's other Kingston-Cuba itinerary, the 'Indigo' service, which is being modernized with the introduction of a 2,478 TEU vessel, the “SC Montana”, which replaces the smaller “Contship”. Pro” (1,096 TEUs).

The 'Indigo' service will call at the ports of Kingston, Montego Bay, Mariel and Kingston. Sailings take place every 10 days and the “SC MONTANA” will make its first crossing from Kingston on January 18.
