The Food Sovereignty law explains that “the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development approved by the United Nations General Assembly in September 2015 establishes, among its objectives, ending hunger, achieving food security and improving nutrition, as well as promote sustainable agriculture, with the premise of achieving the economic, social and environmental sustainability of its Member States, among which is Cuba."

That is why our companies are immersed in developing agricultural development projects on land and plots surrounding the companies or others obtained from the granting by the Territorial Directorate of Agriculture of their province.

The formats or models in which the activity is manifested are dissimilar: organoponic, fruit trees, banana plantations, flowerbeds. The reality is that the OSDE of the Port Maritime Transport Business Group responds to government guidance with interest and enthusiasm and with the perspective of guaranteeing that the different entities have autonomy that contributes to guaranteeing the food and nutritional security of their workers.
