Follow-up visit to the Port of Batabanó to monitor ongoing work.

As part of the Highest Oversight Exercise at MITRANS, the General Director of OSDE GEMAR, Roberto Ricardo Marrero, made a working visit accompanied by executives from the Business Group and the Director of OSDE GEA, Oscar Carvajal Serrano, to oversee strategic aspects of maritime and port development.
The agenda included monitoring the restoration of the Michago Floating Crane, verifying compliance with the MININT 2025 Control Measures Plan, and progress on the creation of the Isla de la Juventud Maritime and Port Services Company, aimed at optimizing local logistics management.
The visit also included evaluations of the schedule for improving the conditions of the maritime terminal, the status of the construction of the kitchen-dining room for the UEB (a priority project for employee well-being), and the short-, medium-, and long-term prospects for the installation of photovoltaic systems, a critical project to ensure operational continuity in any energy scenario and strengthen the resilience of maritime activities.
These spaces are essential for continuous improvement, sustainability, and strengthening of the infrastructure and capabilities of the maritime-port sector.
