Cuban Registry of Ships

Social object:

It is a classification society whose purpose is, on the one hand, to guarantee the safety of navigation and human life at sea, the conservation of the environment and the safety of activities related to the sphere of maritime, automotive, rail transport and related industries and on the other, to guarantee the fulfillment of orders it receives from States, Administrations and Clients.

Always inspire confidence in its actions as a Classification Society.

To become a leading Classification Society in Latin America and the Caribbean.

Services offered:

Maritime:

• Inspection and classification of vessels, floating media and mobile offshore drilling units.

• Review and approval of technical and executive projects for the construction and modification of all types of ships, floating media and mobile offshore drilling units.

• Technical supervision to verify compliance with the requirements of national regulations and international agreements to which the Republic of Cuba is a party, or on behalf of the Maritime Administrations of other States with which it has authority delegation agreements.

All ships flagged by the Republic of Cuba are supervised and certified by the RCB, which contributes to increasing the safety of human life at sea, ships, cargo and the prevention of pollution of the marine environment.

Industrial:

• Homologation and approval of processes, services, products, equipment, materials and qualified personnel from the maritime and industrial field; such as engines and diesel, marine generators, rafts and life jackets, welding electrodes, tires, among others.

• Review and approval of technical projects and inspection and safety certification of hoisting equipment and auxiliary load devices.

• Review and approval of technical projects and inspection and certification of containers.

Engineering works:

• Technical inspection and safety certification of engineering works, such as: hydrotechnical works (docks, breakwaters, slipways and port territories), roads, bridges and others belonging to the basic transport infrastructure.

• Review and approval of technical and executive projects for the construction and modification of engineering works.

Management system:

• Consulting and advice on quality systems, environment, safety and health at work, food safety and others.

• Consultancies for the implementation of management systems.

• Advice on management systems.

• Second and third party audits.
