Modernization of the port of Cienfuegos for container operations.

Expand the productive and service capacity of the operations, based on the increase and replacement of the capacities installed in the port terminal, having the following objectives:
a) Modernize port infrastructure and technology that allows container operations for national and international import and export traffic to begin.
b) Develop the productive chain by creating facilities for Cuban exporter clusters.
c) Use this port as a cargo hub to and from Russia.

Expected results:
1. Create a container operation terminal in the Port of Cienfuegos.
2. Have a loading base that allows maximizing the export and import of both national and international products.
3. Promote the timely assurance of the services described above in quantity and quality by reducing operating costs.
4. Guarantee the clusters of Cuban exporters a safe and stable way to send their products to the different markets in the area.
